Workshop Details
Starting January 1st, 2012, all business must be in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This workshop will help business owners understand the requirements of the AODA and how it will affect their day to day operations.
This workshop will cover the following topics:
- An overview of the AODA— an emphasis will be placed on customer service; structural changes are not a part of the upcoming deadline
- What is considered a disability?
- What barriers exist that might prevent a person with a disability from accessing your services?
- A detailed examination of the Policies and Procedures template that can be modified for your business needs
- Questions and Answers
