SELLING YOUR WAY OUT OF A TOUGH ECONOMY
Presented by the Retail Council of Canada and RBC Royal Bank
This seminar will teach the skills of salesmanship to small business owners and their staff. It will demonstrate how to approach new clients, how to build customer loyalty, how to overcome objections, and the art of up-selling and cross-selling.
Strongly focused on customer service, the speakers will teach you how to make sure that your customer returns again and again. You will learn how to measure your success, and how to interpret ‘the bottom line’.
The speakers from The Retail Council of Canada – Erin Francis and Robyn Russell – presented this seminar to an enthusiastic group of business owners and their employees in Collingwood, and are very much looking forward to sharing their insights with our business community.

Input needed for New Bracebridge Community Improvement Plan
The Town is asking for your participation in the review of the Town's Community Improvement Plan.
That plan, based on Section 28 of the Planning Act, provides the municipality access to a number of tools that are designed to assist in increasing the level of economic activity in the community. In addition, using these tools can make our municipality become much more competitive with our neighbours in surrounding communities – outside of Muskoka.
We are still collecting input from the business community, so whether or not you were able to attend the Focus Group, we just want to ensure that we are able to reach out to you and get your feedback.
Here is a link to the background on the project.
